Test Description
The electronic microchip transponder, sized at 12mm long and 2mm in diameter, is implanted subcutaneously above the shoulder or in IP. When IP implantation is chosen, a quick surgical procedure is applied under isoflurane and the microchip will be implanted in the hepatic portal vein region via a small abdominal incision.
Body temperature is recorded manually using DAS-7007 scanner while animals are housed in their home environment and/or under experimental testing, e.g. the CLAMS.
