Bruker Minispec LF 90II is an NMR-based device that measures lean mass, fat mass and body fluids in conscious animals with body weights ranging from 15-900 grams. The measurements take less than 2 minutes while animals are placed individually in the measuring tube. The machine is daily checked before each measurement using a reference sample (canola seeds) as recommended by the manufacture.
